Pressure of Truth
The news, with the spin made visible.

How Pressure of Truth Works

Most outlets tell you what to think about a story. We show you the machinery underneath it, so you can decide for yourself — and always know why a particular angle is being pushed.

The problem

Every country's press carries the bias of the country it is published in. Read the same event from a Western desk and a non-Western desk and you can get two incompatible stories. Neither is simply lying; each is selecting, framing, and emphasizing in line with its own interests. The casualty is the reader, who is left unable to tell signal from spin.

Our method

For every story, an analysis is assembled from reporting across the political and geopolitical spectrum — establishment, left, right, and non-Western sources — and decomposed into a fixed structure:

Summary
A plain-language lead you can stop after and still be fairly informed.
The Event
Only what verifiably, physically happened. No adjectives, no motive.
Undisputed Facts
What every side concedes is true.
How Each Side Sees It
Each major actor's framing, their underlying incentive, and how they are materially affected.
The Bias Ledger
The same story as headlined by specific outlets across the spectrum, with the tell that reveals each angle.
The Pressure
The structural realities that persist regardless of which narrative wins.

Checkable by design

Every non-obvious claim carries a numbered citation linking to a source listed at the bottom of the article. We would rather you verify than trust us. Analysis is generated by AI from current reporting and can contain errors — the references are there precisely so you can check.

What we are not

We do not tell you who is right. Where a claim is contested, we attribute it rather than asserting it. The goal is not a verdict; it is a reader who understands the forces in play.
