ANI

Indian news agency; generally seen as government-friendly (pro-Modi government)

ANI is India's largest wire service, privately owned by the Prakash family and formerly 49% owned by Reuters. Critics and watchdogs say its coverage tends to track the Indian government's line, and the agency disputes that. As an Indian wire service it mainly reports on U.S. policy as it affects India, and I found no evidence of a clear stance for or against the Trump administration.

Owned byANI Media Private Limited, privately held and controlled by the Prakash family. Prem Prakash founded it and is chairman, Sanjiv Prakash is CEO, and Smita Prakash is editor-in-chief. Reuters held 49% until a December 2022 announcement that it would cut its stake to comply with India's foreign direct investment rules.
