The Bureau

TBIJ is a London-based nonprofit newsroom funded by foundation grants and donor contributions rather than a single owner or advertising. It specializes in long-form investigative reporting on topics like drone warfare, surveillance, and corporate/government accountability, with a left-of-center orientation on social-justice issues. Its U.S.-focused investigations (immigration enforcement, defense contracting, environmental and labor issues) tend to scrutinize Trump administration policy rather than defend it.
