Center for Immigration Studies (CIS)

It is funded primarily by the Colcom Foundation, a Pittsburgh-based private foundation founded with wealth tied to the immigration-restrictionist network built by John Tanton. CIS's policy positions align closely with the Trump administration's restrictionist immigration agenda, and the administration has repeatedly cited CIS research to justify its immigration enforcement actions.
