Continuum Economics
UK-based, institutionally neutral financial research
Background
Continuum Economics traces its roots to 4Cast Limited, a London-based economic forecasting firm incorporated in May 1992. In 2016, 4Cast merged with Roubini Global Economics (RGE), the research firm founded in 2004 by economist Nouriel Roubini — known for predicting the 2008 financial crisis — along with Country Insights, which RGE had acquired in 2012. The combined entity operated as 4CAST-RGE Ltd before rebranding publicly as Continuum Economics around 2018. The firm publishes daily macroeconomic and fixed-income research covering over 30 countries from offices in London, New York, and Singapore, with a client base of more than 600 institutional subscribers. In December 2023, Fin-Ex Partners completed a buyout of the firm. Continuum Economics functions as a B2B research service rather than a journalistic outlet; its analytical output focuses on forecasting central bank policy, exchange rates, and economic indicators, and it does not maintain a traditional editorial page or stated political orientation. Its commentary on U.S. economic policy under the Trump administration reflects professional market analysis — noting effects of tariffs, fiscal policy, and Federal Reserve dynamics — without taking partisan positions.
