The Daily Tar Heel
U.S. student press, left-leaning editorial page
The Daily Tar Heel is UNC-Chapel Hill's independent, student-run newspaper, financially and editorially separate from the university since 1993. Its unsigned editorials have taken progressive stances on campus and state issues, and its news coverage of the Trump administration's higher-education and immigration policies has generally been critical in tone, consistent with much of the U.S. student press.
