Dim Sum Daily
Hong Kong-based English-language news aggregator, widely described as pro-Beijing
Dim Sum Daily is a Hong Kong English-language news site owned through an offshore (BVI) entity backed by undisclosed local investors. It has drawn criticism for pro-Beijing slant, which it denies. Its recent coverage of the Trump administration, especially tariffs, is largely critical, though it also reports trade deals and tariff cuts in a straightforward way.
Owned byPer its own statement, a British Virgin Islands entity backed by Hong Kong investors. It does not name the individual owners. A 2019 South China Morning Post report tied the site to Asia United Media, a Hong Kong marketing agency co-founded by Toh Lean Seng, who is wanted for questioning in Malaysia's 1MDB case. The outlet says that agency was only one of several marketing firms that approached it in 2018.
