U.S. local/regional, center-right-leaning editorial tradition (limited opinion content)
The East Oregonian is a Pendleton, Oregon, newspaper serving northeastern Oregon. It is owned by Carpenter Media Group, a for-profit chain, and is funded mostly by advertising and subscriptions. Its coverage is largely local, and I found no evidence of a clear stance toward the Trump administration. Where national issues appear, they are mostly framed by local effects on agriculture, rural communities and the region.
Owned byCarpenter Media Group, a Mississippi-based chain of local newspapers led by Chairman Todd Carpenter. It bought EO Media Group, the paper's longtime owner, in late 2024.
