EducationNC is a North Carolina–based nonprofit newsroom that covers education policy exclusively. It is funded almost entirely by a small group of foundations and operates without a corporate owner. Since January 2025 it has published more than 75 articles documenting the Trump administration's education actions — including funding cuts, grant terminations, and policies affecting English learners and immigrant students — placing its recent coverage in broadly critical territory on federal education policy.
