Emirati, privately owned and aligned with UAE government positions

Gulf News is a Dubai-based English-language daily owned by Al Nisr Publishing, part of the Al Tayer Group. It is privately owned but generally avoids criticizing UAE authorities and reflects Emirati government priorities. Its coverage of the Trump administration is largely wire-based and event-driven. It tends to stress UAE–U.S. ties and Gulf security, and I did not find evidence of strong editorial praise or criticism.

Owned byOwned by Al Nisr Publishing, a subsidiary of the Al Tayer Group, which is chaired by Obaid Al Tayer, a former UAE finance minister. Al Nisr was formed in 1984 by three UAE businessmen: Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, Abdullah Al Rostamani and Juma Al Majid.
