IANS is one of India's largest wire services, now wholly owned by Adani Group's AMG Media Networks. Its coverage of India's domestic government (the ruling BJP) has drawn criticism for pro-government tilt under both its prior owner (Reliance ADAG) and Adani; on U.S. politics and the Trump administration it functions mainly as a straight-news wire with limited original opinion. Coverage of the U.S. administration tends to be brief, factual wire reporting rather than editorial commentary.
