The Irish Times is Ireland's best-known national daily. It is owned by a non-profit-style trust with no outside shareholders and is funded mostly by subscribers. Its editorial line is liberal and pro-EU, and its recent editorials and opinion pieces on the second Trump administration are mostly critical, especially on tariffs, Greenland and Trump's September 2026 Ireland visit.

Owned byOwned by The Irish Times Trust (a trust set up in 1974). It has no individual or corporate shareholders. The Trust owns The Irish Times DAC, the parent of the Irish Times Group, which also includes the Irish Examiner.
