Mwakilishi
Kenyan diaspora news (U.S.-based, Kenya-focused)
Background
Mwakilishi.com was formed in 2009 and describes itself as a Kenya diaspora news leader. It is a product of Mwakilishi Media Group, LLC, registered in Maryland. The site covers news of interest to Kenyans abroad, including immigration, diaspora events, classifieds and lifestyle content. Its recent pages include 'Daily News Digest' roundups and short international stories, such as a Black Sea ship attack and a Nigerian military plane crash. Limited public information is available about its founders, ownership details, funding or editorial controversies, and this profile does not claim any. Its self-description as a leading diaspora site is a self-label, though third-party diaspora-news listings also rank it among prominent Kenyan diaspora outlets. Because its content is largely general news and diaspora-service material, its perspective is better described as community-oriented than partisan. Its stance on U.S. politics, including the Trump administration, appears limited and mostly neutral based on the content I could review.
