Outlet track record
The NC Beat
Independent North Carolina local/tabloid-style digital outlet (no clear partisan lean)
The NC Beat is a small, independently run Raleigh-based news site and social media brand founded by Gerald Jackson Jr. It focuses on crime, church controversies, celebrity news and some world news, rather than partisan politics. I found no evidence of a consistent stance toward the Trump administration, so its coverage looks mostly neutral on that subject.
Owned byPrivately run by its founder, Gerald Jackson Jr., who is also Editor-in-Chief and lead journalist. I found no parent company or outside owner.
