Oxfam America is an independent U.S. nonprofit and member of the global Oxfam confederation, funded primarily by individual donors and private foundations. It advocates for progressive policies on poverty, inequality, climate change, and global humanitarian aid, and operates a separate lobbying arm called the Oxfam America Action Fund. Since January 2025, it has been broadly critical of the Trump administration, including joining a federal lawsuit over the dismantling of USAID and issuing repeated condemnations of foreign aid cuts.
