Background

The network launched in 2018 as America's Voice News, rebranded to Real America's Voice in September 2020 to coincide with a broader shift into MAGA-aligned political programming and live coverage of Trump campaign rallies. Its owner, Robert J. Sigg, was convicted of mortgage fraud in 2006 in connection with a scheme involving hundreds of millions of dollars in fraudulent loans; his criminal history dates to 1983 and includes drug, assault, and burglary charges. The outlet gained significant national attention by becoming the broadcast home of Steve Bannon's War Room podcast after Bannon lost mainstream platform deals. During the 2024 election cycle it expanded its reach across streaming services including Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, and DISH satellite. In early 2025 it was granted a White House press pool credential, and correspondent Brian Glenn took up a regular White House beat. By 2025 Real America's Voice had forged a content distribution partnership with Trump Media & Technology Group, supplying programming to Trump's Truth+ streaming service — a relationship ethics lawyers described as unprecedented in its blending of journalism access and a business relationship with the sitting president's company. Media Bias/Fact Check rates the outlet in the extreme-right category with low factual reporting, and CNN has labeled it a 'far-right channel'; the outlet has faced criticism for spreading unsubstantiated claims about noncitizen voting and other election fraud allegations.
