Retail TouchPoints
U.S. retail industry trade/B2B
Background
Retail TouchPoints was launched in 2006 by G3 Communications, a New Jersey-based digital media and B2B marketing firm that also published titles such as Demand Gen Report and Channel Marketer Report. G3 built Retail TouchPoints into a leading trade outlet for retail executives, covering omnichannel strategy, in-store technology, e-commerce, and customer experience. The publication produced companion live events including the Retail Innovation Conference and Retail TouchPoints Live. In November 2019, Emerald Expositions Events — a major B2B trade show organizer that went public on the NYSE in 2017 under the ticker EEX — acquired G3 Communications, bringing Retail TouchPoints under its corporate umbrella. Emerald subsequently rebranded as Emerald Holding, Inc. in February 2020. As part of Emerald, Retail TouchPoints operates alongside more than 140 live events and 16 media properties spanning sectors from jewelry to sporting goods. The outlet has no notable political controversies; its editorial focus is strictly on the business of retail, including supply chain, payments, AI in commerce, and shopper behavior, and it does not publish political commentary or policy advocacy.
