World Weather Attribution is a group of climate scientists, based at Imperial College London, that publishes rapid studies of whether climate change made specific extreme weather events more likely or more intense. It is funded by philanthropic foundations, several of which focus on climate action. It does not cover politics or the Trump administration as a news outlet would. Its findings, and its public commentary on climate policy, tend to be at odds with administration positions that downplay climate change.
Owned byNot a conventional media company. WWA is an academic collaboration led by climate scientists, with Friederike Otto as a leader. It is based at Imperial College London, in the Centre for Environmental Policy. It was previously hosted by the Grantham Institute at Imperial.
