The Center for Reproductive Rights is a nonprofit legal advocacy organization — not a news outlet — that uses litigation to advance abortion and contraception access as fundamental legal rights in the United States and internationally. It is funded primarily by progressive-leaning foundations and individual donors. Since January 2025 it has taken a broadly critical posture toward the Trump administration, filing multiple lawsuits challenging federal actions on abortion access, birth control, Medicaid funding, and the FACE Act.
