El Cronista
Argentine business-oriented, market-friendly center-right
El Cronista is Argentina's oldest business daily. It is owned by the private media conglomerate Grupo América and focuses on economics, finance and politics. Its coverage of the Trump administration is mostly framed through Argentina's relationship with President Milei. It is generally market-friendly and fairly neutral toward Washington, but it also runs critical pieces on the Milei–Trump relationship, so its stance reads as mixed.
Owned byGrupo América, an Argentine media group. It also owns América TV, the news channel A24 and radio La Red. It is associated with businessmen Daniel Vila and José Luis Manzano. Grupo América bought El Cronista in 2021 from Francisco de Narváez, who had owned it since 2006.
