Gallup is a private, employee-owned polling and consulting company. It earns most of its money from business consulting and analytics, not from news advertising. It is a data provider, not an opinion outlet. Since early 2026 it has stopped publishing approval or favorability ratings of political figures, so it no longer measures the Trump administration's standing directly.
Owned byGallup, Inc., a privately held, employee-owned company headquartered in Washington, D.C. The founding Gallup family sold its stake in the late 20th century. Gallup merged with Selection Research, Inc. of Lincoln, Nebraska, in 1988.
