IRIB
Iranian state broadcaster
IRIB is Iran's state-owned broadcaster and, by law, its only authorized radio and TV operator. It follows the line of the Islamic Republic's leadership. Its coverage of the Trump administration is hostile, especially in the context of the 2026 conflict with the U.S. and Israel.
Owned byOwned and controlled by the Iranian state. The Supreme Leader appoints its director-general, and the constitution gives the post this authority. The current head is Peyman Jebelli, appointed in 2021 by Ali Khamenei. Reports say his term expires in late 2026, under the new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei.
